"Power lines, my travlin' partner on this ride. Dripping, pulling - up and down, in this sing song, their lullaby blends with the swaying train. I curl myself into this journey; folding myself up into this pocket of time. Old familiars greet me - that swing set in the back yard, the ruins of an old church covered in new birth and old - mixed with unremembered newness." hey you guys!!!

Hmm. It’s a rainy day. Everything is wet – the trees, the grass, the street…the air. This kind of grey misty day reminds me of the movie Goonies (1985). I don’t know why, but on days like this I want to go on a treasure hunt down tunnels and into caves, while avoiding the booby-traps….or is it boodie-traps?

Fall is hanging on with all her might. The only difference between a wet fall day and a spring day today are the number of leaves still hanging on the trees. By winter, they will have released their connection to the tree and by spring the last remaining stragglers will look wrinkled and imploded.

Don’t forget to vote. I did.

Hmmm...so did you vote, or did you forget to vote? :) I'm assuming that you meant you voted. If not, you still have 39 minutes.

LOL! You beat me to it, Chief! That was going to be my comment too! :) But I know what you meant, GoGo....just had to rib you a bit. I voted today too. Did you know that trees actually tell the leaves to "get off of me"? I saw this on a CBS Good Morning a few weeks ago. We call it Fall because we think the leaves fall off the trees, but the trees actually produce something in their branches that causes the leaves to fall off...so it's more like "get off of me". Just some useless information for you!

I love the pictures that you are making!
Thanks for the comment on the dog/cat thing. I have always had cats, and fostered on before I moved. I am thinking of doing that again. I have a tiny apt, and I don't think that it would be right for a bit dog, and I am not sure I want some yappy thing.
Hope tomorrow dries out a bit for you.

P.S. I love the trivia on trees and leaves. I'll never look at a fallen leaf the same again. ;)
